After Redon

in the early 2000's David was influenced by the work of French artist Odilon Redon. David was drawn to the artist's incredible use of color in his pastels and paintings, as well as from the moody surreal qualities of his early black and white graphic work. You can see the influence of Redon in the color of some of David's Alone Together paintings, and psychically in many of his drawings in the later sketchbooks.
